Administrator
Information and Desktop Patrol Recovery
Desktop Patrol was
designed to ensure that the Windows built-in
Administrator account, Administrators Group and
any Windows user account that contains
Administrator permissions will always have access
and control to Desktop Patrol.
In order to install
Desktop Patrol onto a computer, you must be
logged into an account with Administrator
Permissions.
When Desktop Patrol is
initially installed, it records the user name
(that is currently logged into the computer) as
the Primary Administrator of Desktop Patrol. This
Primary Administrator will be the only Windows
user account that has the ability to login to
Desktop Patrols main interface via the
Administrator Login window. This is because the
Desktop Patrol system tray icon can be hidden
from all users including all other administrator
accounts. If, for whatever reason, the Primary
Administrators Windows user account is
deleted, or the actual user (of the Primary
Administrator account) is no longer available to
provide the Desktop Patrol Administrator Login
password, you can complete the steps outlined
below to regain access and control of Desktop
Patrol.
